And now for something totally off the topic of letterboxing:

Unless you've been living under a rock over these last few years you
most certainly know about the marathon run of "A Christmas Story" on
TNT on Christmas Eve.

My Christmas gift to all letterboxers is this gentle reminder (and
shameless plug) to watch this movie with friends and family. And
since it is on for 24 hours straight you have no excuse for missing
it!

For me Christmas would not be complete without Ralph, Flick,
Schwartz, and of course, Randy. (he laid there like a slug, it was
his only defense) So don your fluffy pink bunny suits, load up your
bb guns, and dig into your Chinese turkey.

OK - So I have been living under a rock for years (The rocks on the coast of Maine are quite nice). I have NEVER seen this movie. Perhaps it is time.

Can you BE Scott Farkas AND grow up? I wonder if it's just us folks from WOR country who grew up listening to Jean Shepherd on the radio at 9:15PM, or read his books or watched Shepherd's Pie on PBS who truly are disciples of the Red Ryder BeeBee gun? He will be missed.
